Many people have found the Bosch Isio Shape & Edging Li-Ion Shear to be a convenient way to shape up their grass and clean up those edges. You never have to worry about cords getting tangled up as you cut the grass or eventually getting in your way. The reason being is because it is absolutely cordless. Edging and shaping your shrubs just became a little easier and because of the superb technology of this handy garden machine, the cutting blades will change direction when they realize that the grass has become too thick to be cut. However, the machine will still continue to run but just change the direction of the blades. There is no memory effect, no self discharge and it has an ergonomic grip that is located on both sides of the hand piece. The charge level is always up to date and the battery status indicator comes with a 4 stage LED. It even comes with extras like the charger, trimmer blade, instruction manual and edging blade. Not only is it easy to use, but it is also compact enough for you to travel with it. It sure beats traveling with a lawnmower or grass trimmer that is too large to fit into your luggage. You can even get a variety of accessories to go with it. One of the things that consumers should be sure to keep in mind is that the performance of this gardening tool may vary depending on the condition of your yard. This also includes the running time. A few consumers had some complaints about the fact that it takes the shear almost 4 hours to charge. However, this is a lot better than the 24 hour charge times that most gardening products might take. Yet, allowing your shear to charge at night while you are sleeping is a sure way to make sure that it is ready for the gardening tasks in the morning. People have also complained that you are only able to use it for less than an hour before having to charge it for 3-4 more hours. CEL 10" (25cm) 18V Li-Ion Cordless Line Trimmer LT1-LI01
Lightweight and easy to use. Used mainly for edging lawns but occasionily as a strimmer. It is very easy to rotate the head to change to the other mode. Batteries recharge very quickly and are easily interchanged.The only slight complaint is I seem to go through the plastic "line" very quickly but have found a cheaper option which should be easy to load.Thoroughly recommended!

I bought this to trim around trees and the borders of the lawn, not to clear heavy brush. It performs well and is easy to use. It's important to read the manual and follow the battery charging instructions. I charged the battery overnight and the strimmer ran for 20 minutes continuously without stopping. It began to slow down at 20 minutes, and anyway my arms were getting tired so that's a good time frame for me. It cuts better than my last strimmer and the string is self feeding and easy to use. I found it ergonomically pleasant, well balanced to hold. Really pleased with my purchase.

Having owned a Ryobi Petrol Strimmer, anything, I mean anything (scissors, paper knife or cheese wire) would be more suitable than the Ryobi!
Despite being quite expensive...This Bosch Art26 Li seems to be the answer to noise, weight & ease of use.. It is just a small light weight machine, that with a little care gives a more than adequate cut etc. After use, my neighbours are still talking to me!.Now whether it can tackle 3/4 month old grass banks., I am not sure. But it works & has a few useful option like Plant preservation (The Ryobi you felt would take down full grown trees)! You can turn the motor on its side to give lawn edging.In all a good 4 stars so far (May 2010).
Unlike the 'other' strimmer this starts immediately & without arm/gut wrenching puling. It did two medium size lawns & recharged in about 3 hours.

Bosch Rotak 43 LI Ergoflex Cordless Rotary Lawnmower (43 cm Cutting Width) 2 x 36 Volt Li-Ion Batteries
I am very please with this mower. It is easy to use not too heavy and much quieter than my petrol mower. I chose this larger model because it had 2 batteries and I was very glad that I did as I have quite a large garden and have to change the battery half way through mowing. The battery charges very quickly but it would be a nuisance to have to wait for a recharge before I can finish mowing. The mower does mow reasonable close to the edges but still leaves an edge which needs strimming. I would recommend this mower to anybody.

As one of the fussiest women in the world I've waited 10 days to review this mower, to give it a few 'testdrives'. It arrived within 24 hrs of ordering! While charging the battery I set about unpacking and putting the mower together. The instructions are minimal - mostly diagrammatic - but that was ok as it was fairly obvious. The most challenging bits were clicking the 2 halves of the grass collection box together, then assembling the bolts to attach the handles - just a bit fiddly. Battery needs 90 mins for a full charge. What surprised me was the ease of movement; it's lightweight and these ergonomic handles do help. The noise is very quiet - just a low hum. Not convinced about these "grass combs" It doesn't get into the edges quite as accurately as my old corded Qualcast or cut quite as low. HOWEVER it has made cutting the lawn almost enjoyable! The most AMAZING thing for me is the drastic reduction in time, energy and effort. As someone with M.E. it became impossible in the last few years and I've paid a small fortune for mowing. Fortunately one of the 'gardeners' broke the lid of my old mower (and left it without telling me). He's actually done me an enormous favour! This new machine is absolutely great and the charging capacity even seems to have increased with a few uses. It has just tackled both rear lawn (approx 20 x 15 ft) and front lawn (approx 12 x 10 ft)on the same charge - with 2 green lights (80%) still left on the battery! This mower made a valiant attempt on my mum's huge meadow-like lawn (approx 60 x 20 ft with 6" long grass). It completed half, needed 90 mins recharge, then the other half. On hers, the grass box needed emptying every few strips and because of the light weight, the mower needed extra pushing over the springy terrain so was quite hard work - but I couldn't otherwise have dreamed of tackling it over the last few years. For my own 'normal' lawns it's a doddle and I'm in love with this mower. NEVER before have I finished mowing then looked at my neighbour's grass and thought "ooh I could just run over his too before putting this away!" Go on treat yourself and set yourself free from cords!

Trimmer Line for Easytrim/all Combitrim's /23GF/GFS/GFSV
Trimmer line is just as purchased initially with Bosch strimmer, works just the same so can be purchased with confidence.
Having tried to use a cheap alternative, this trimmer line proved well worth the extra money. It is much stronger and does not snap off every two minutes. So far have refilled spool twice with enough line for at least another two refills. Line is easy to use to refill spool and does not slip to unwind itself when rewinding. I would recommend this product as good value for money.
This strimmer line makes a really bad product (i.e. the strimmer itself) only slightly better. Instead of snapping every 3 feet (as the reel supplied with the strimmer does), it only snaps every 10 feet!!!
Bosch Isio Shape & Edging Li-Ion Shear
I have a very big garden with around 50 metres length of 7 foot high hedging. I ordered the isio 2 years ago on the basis of reviews, secretly thinking that although it would be useful for those small jobs, I would probably have to get somethiing with a 240v lead to do the garden jobs properly... I was wrong...
A single charge takes around 2 hours & lasts for around 40 minutes continuous use.
Despite being only 3.6v, it is an extremely powerful tool (make sure you keep the other hand well away) and cuts through branches up to 1cm thick (I kid you not). It might have to "champ" a bit on the bigger branches, but does (after 3 or 4 "bites") get though them. With conifer hedges it cuts very quickly & efficiently at first contact. I find I can trim back about 8-10 metres length of a 7 foot high conifer hedge within the 40 minute (or so) charge time.
Because of the smart (no memory loss effect) LI-ION battery, I find the power & battery charge time still similar to first use 2 years ago.
It does have a safety button so that it is not possible to get fingers anyway near the blade with the hand actually operating it (do not be tempted to "feed" material into it with your other hand).
It is very light & comfortable to use, but will not (for safety reasons) operate with the charger wire plugged in.
It is amazing the amount of cutting you can do on one charge. If I have a lot to do, I simply go on to another garden job during its recharge time.
Mine came in a smart steel tin & it also has a blade attachment that can be swapped over for trimming the grass (which I also use to trim around trees & edges after mowing). It is competent for this but its real attraction (to me, at least) is its excellence as a hedge trimmer.
Get one & you won't be disappointed.
This is a great device. The two blade set is worth the extra money. Cuts very smoothly. It is lightweight and fits nicely into your hand. Last for about 40 minutes on continuous use. Charges quite quickly too. I enjoyed the product so much that I order one for my Mum. She loves it!
